 Hi, I'm Sarah.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holding Pennsylvania License # CW018236, and proudly possessing a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health awarded by Postpartum Support International. With over 18 years of rich experience, I've served in various capacities as a therapist, clinical supervisor, program director, and manager.

My academic journey culminated in a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Throughout my formal education, my training extensively focused on cognitive behavioral, narrative and solution-focused therapies.

There are an array of feelings and experiences that you may be encountering during this sensitive time of your life. I know because I have been there.

My Story

I started Mulberry Therapeutic Services in order to acknowledge the intergenerational impact that infertility and pregnancy loss has had on the amazing women in my family as well as myself. From stillbirth, miscarriages, and infertility, their experiences impacted my own reproductive story. Personally, I have gone through multiple early miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy and two failed IVF transfers. I know the confusing concern that my feelings were not valid because the losses were “early,” the anxiety of deciding to start and stop treatments, and was unsure what “normal” felt like due to all the medicine and hormonal changes in my body. I have experienced the hope of ‘this will be the month,’ the grief when it wasn’t –– and when it was, the immense fear of ‘when will this one end.’ I have experienced first-hand the impact of trauma, grief and loss and the way those experiences impact us mentally and physically. This work is incredibly important to me because I have lived it.

In seeking my own therapy, I was able to acknowledge my experience, cope with my feelings, and heal. This is why I am working to ensure that quality reproductive mental health is available to families. I am professionally dedicated to supporting my clients on their reproductive journey, and it is my sincere hope that my daughter and son, as well as future generations, will have access to high quality support that acknowledges all of our experiences and promotes both physical and mental health wellness.
