Hi, I'm Sarah.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holding Pennsylvania License # CW018236 and Kentucky License # 259043 and proudly possessing a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health awarded by Postpartum Support International. With over 18 years of rich experience, I've served in various capacities as a therapist, clinical supervisor, program director, and manager.

My academic journey culminated in a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Throughout my formal education, my training extensively focused on cognitive behavioral, narrative and solution-focused therapies. I am also trained in ACT (awareness and commitment therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy)

There are an array of feelings and experiences that you may be encountering during this sensitive time of your life. I know because I have been there.

My Story
I founded Mulberry Therapeutic Services to recognize the profound generational impact of fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and transitioning to parenthood on the women in my family, including myself. My personal journey includes multiple early miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy, and two unsuccessful IVF attempts. I understand firsthand the confusion of feeling that my losses were minimized, the anxiety of deciding on and discontinuing treatments, and the uncertainty of what 'normal' meant amidst medical and hormonal changes.

Through my own experience, I processed my emotions, learned skills for coping and found healing. My story motivates me to advocate for accessible reproductive and postpartum mental health care. I am committed to supporting clients on their reproductive paths, hoping to ensure future generations, including my daughter and son, have access to compassionate, comprehensive support that acknowledges and nurtures both their physical and mental well-being.

Professional Background
For nearly two decades, I've dedicated myself to providing social work and therapeutic services to individuals of all ages, as well as families, across a spectrum of environments including outpatient, inpatient, and educational settings. My expertise spans trauma-informed and mind-body practices, encompassing eye movement and desensitization reprocessing therapy (EMDR), mindfulness, narrative therapy, trauma-informed cognitive behavioral (TF-CBT), and acceptance commitment therapy (ACT).

Drawing from these extensive practices and theories, my therapeutic approach is deeply collaborative. Together, we'll craft a tailored, holistic plan to support you through this pivotal chapter of your life.

I remain committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge developments in reproductive and postpartum mental health, ensuring that you receive the most innovative and effective support available.
