Hi, I'm Sarah.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holding License # CW018236 (PA) and 259043 (KY), and proudly possessing a Certificate in Perinatal Mental Health awarded by Postpartum Support International. With over 18 years of rich experience, I've served in various capacities as a therapist, clinical supervisor, program director, and manager.

My academic journey culminated in a Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville. Throughout my formal education, my training extensively focused on cognitive behavioral, narrative and solution-focused therapies. I am also trained in ACT (awareness and commitment therapy) and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy)

There are an array of feelings and experiences that you may be encountering during this sensitive time of your life. I know because I have been there.

My Story
I founded Mulberry Therapeutic Services to honor and bring awareness to the profound generational impact of fertility challenges, pregnancy loss, and the emotional transition into parenthood experienced by the women in my family, including myself. My personal journey includes multiple early miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy, and failed embryo transfers. Through these experiences, I came to deeply understand the emotional complexity of reproductive loss, including the confusion and grief that can arise when losses feel minimized, the anxiety surrounding decisions to pursue or discontinue treatment, and the uncertainty of defining what is “normal” amid significant medical, hormonal, and emotional changes.

Equally impactful has been the emotional experience of adjusting to parenthood after these challenges—navigating identity shifts, rebuilding resilience, and redefining a sense of self following years of loss, treatment, and uncertainty. Through my own healing process, I learned to process complex emotions, develop effective coping skills, and reconnect with my strengths during this significant life transition.

These lived experiences motivate my advocacy for accessible, compassionate reproductive and postpartum mental health care. I am deeply committed to supporting individuals and families along their reproductive journeys and into parenthood, with the hope of ensuring future generations—including my daughter and son—have access to comprehensive support that acknowledges, validates, and nurtures both their physical and emotional well-being.
